Access to Opportunity

Bootcamps are pathway courses for learning new job skills including industry-recognized certifications and bootcamps. Our online, asynchronous training programs are led by UC's School of Information Technology faculty and are mapped to the NICE framework. The courses include the benefit of access to UC's Career Education Services. The courses combine hands-on, experiential instruction with essential coursework to prepare today's workforce for careers in Information Technology and Cybersecurity.

Tuition Funding Through Your Employer

UC is an approved provider of tech training eligible for the Ohio TechCred. Employers who are approved for this funding will be reimbursed for the cost of the bootcamp. You can learn more about the program at TechCred.Ohio.gov.


The courses allow enrollees to have access to industry mentors and advisors, university faculty, and university students and also have flexibility in completing coursework through an asynchronous online model.  â€‹

Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals

7/7/2025 - 8/3/2025

In Azure Data Fundamentals, you will describe analytical workloads and work with relational and non-relational data on Azure. Before taking this course, you should have a foundational knowledge of core data concepts and how they are implemented using Microsoft Azure data services. This course prepares you for the DP-900 exam.

Microsoft Cloud Technology: Azure Fundamentals

In Azure Fundamentals, you will gain the foundational knowledge of cloud services for a career in IT. This course is intended for non-technical candidates who want to understand the cloud-based solutions for offering services such as sales, purchasing, and marketing of cloud services. This course prepares you for the AZ-900 exam.

Microsoft Excel Certification Course

This Excel course will cover the fundamentals of creating and managing worksheets, applying formulas and functions, and creating charts and objects. Participants will be proficient to address managing data, understanding advanced functions, and pivot tables. Upon successful completion, participants will have been exposed to skills needed to take the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Associate Certification Exam. 

Azure Administrator

Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate

An Azure Administrator often serves as part of a larger team dedicated to implementing an organization’s cloud infrastructure. Azure Administrators also coordinate with other roles to deliver Azure networking, security, database, application development, and DevOps solutions.This course will prepare you for the Microsoft Exam AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator, with modules dedicated to Azure identity and governance, implement and manage storage, deploy and manage Azure compute resources, configure and manage virtual networking, monitor and maintain Azure resources.

DevOps Engineer

Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert

DevOps Engineers are developers or infrastructure administrators who also have subject matter expertise in working with people, processes, and products to enable continuous delivery of value in organizations. Responsibilities for this role include designing and implementing strategies for collaboration, code, infrastructure, source control, security, compliance, continuous integration, testing, delivery, monitoring, and feedback. DevOps Engineers work on cross-functional teams that include developers, site reliability engineers, and Azure administrators.

DevOps Foundation Bootcamp

This course is designed for a broad audience, enabling those on the business side of an organization to obtain an understanding of the benefits of DevOps concepts such as continuous delivery, continuous deployment, and the associated enabling technologies. Those on the technical side of an organization can obtain an understanding of the business value of DevOps to reduce cost with increased quality to support business objectives centered on digital transformation initiatives.

CompTIA Security+ Bootcamp

 7/1/2025 - 7/28/2025

The CompTIA Security+ Bootcamp is an intensive course in Information Technology Fundamentals and Cybersecurity. The bootcamp is designed for beginners who can spend 30 hours per week on course instruction, hands-on assignments, and discussions. The course begins with foundational learning in Information Technology, networking, and cybersecurity required for the in-depth cybersecurity topics that will be covered in the latter part of the bootcamp. The purpose of this bootcamp is to provide the student with an overview in practical information technology skills, intermediate skills in core cybersecurity functions, as well as problem solving and critical thinking skills. The course outcomes are aligned to the CompTIA Security+ (SYO-601) professional certification exam objectives and align with employer needs. Knowledge gained in this course will prepare students for cybersecurity jobs such as Security Administrator, Security Analyst, or Security Specialist.

UC's Networking bootcamps are designed for beginners. No knowledge of networking is required. During these intensive boot camps, you will quickly go from entry-level information technology skills to intermediate networking skills.The course outcomes are aligned to the CompTIA Network+ (N10-008) professional certification exam objectives and align with employer needs. Knowledge gained in this course will prepare students for IT Infrastructure jobs such as Network Field Engineer, Network Administrator, or Network Analyst. The course is self-paced with instructor support. Weekly check-ins and office hours. 

Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM®)

This globally recognized certification provided by the Project Management Institute (PMI) covers all the fundamental knowledge, processes, terminology associated with effective project management. With the CAPM®, you’ll be on the fast track to opportunity. This course provides the 23 contact hours of project management education required for you to sit for the CAPM® exam. Successful completion of CAPM® Certification ensures that you possess the necessary skills and knowledge about the principles of project management, and this certification enables you to handle the primary challenges of project management. The course is self-paced with instructor support. Weekly check-ins and office hours. 

Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP)

The Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) is a NICE-aligned, (National Initiative in Cyber Education) in-demand cybersecurity certification that signifies the experienced IT security professionals’ breadth of knowledge in areas of oversight and governance, design and development and implementation and operation. Areas of study include data, system, application and information security, analysis and testing, design, architecture and operations. CISSP also covers risk management and identity security supervision.
