Cyber

Exercises

Effective cyber defense needs not only training, but validation of that training and an analysis of gaps to customize future training. Cyber exercises are critical at all levels through introductory exposure capture the flags (CTF) to advanced incident response multiple day simulations. CTFs provide opportunities to develop interest in and an understanding of cybersecurity through gamification. Industry and government can also test their readiness through advanced exercises that simulate real world events in Tabletop Exercises (TTX) and live action incident response red on blue exercises.

Ohio Cyber Guardian
Ohio Cyber Guardian (OCG) is a world-class cyber incident response training/validation exercise for government/private
industry cyber teams. This exercise is the largest non-Department of Defense non-foreign, unclassified, defensive cyber
operation (DCO) exercise in the country.

The OCRI provides Opposing Forces (OPFOR) individual training to advance red teaming capabilities in support of DCO self-training. The Ohio Cyber Guardian exercise is dedicated to strengthening the cyber defenses of our communities, businesses, and government institutions. By collectively training cybersecurity professionals, law enforcement, academic institutions, and private sector leaders, we foster collaboration and innovation in persistent cyber engagement. Through realistic simulations of medium to large organizations, and advanced training, we equip participants with the skills to anticipate, detect, and mitigate cyber threats. Our mission is to cultivate a proactive cybersecurity culture and safeguard Ohio’s critical infrastructure and data.
